Current Progress
The game is currently in early development, and I am pleased to share the first public milestone with you—a Map Generation Demo. I hope you enjoy experimenting with it and stay tuned for future updates.
The game itself is already playable (and has even been playtested by friends), but I will upload it here a little later.
Follow this page on Itch.io, join Discord server where I post daily updates, and subscribe to my YouTube channel, where I plan to showcase the entire development process.
Mac and Linux builds will be available later

Developer Message
Hi! My name is Ivan ‘GospodinNoob’ Kapranov. I am a lead dev of ‘8 More Lives’ - a turn-based tactical RPG. You might know me from games of Luden.io - 'Learning Factory' and 'while True: learn()', or from my tabletop game Agon.
I am a fan of strategy games - Battle Brothers, XCOM, Total War, Civilization, Heroes of Might and Magic - and I’ve spent thousands of hours playing them. I have always wanted to make a strategy game with a living world and deep mechanics, especially with interesting terrain as a vital part of the map and combat (after all, Spartans fought at Thermopylae because of the terrain, right?).
I want to create a challenging game, with deep and varied character progression, interesting and ruthless combat, and procedural generation so that every playthrough feels unique. I hope to bring a few fresh ideas to the ‘mercenary squad simulator’ genre.
That’s why, a few years ago, I began this hobby project. I’ve spent a lot of time developing a world generation system designed specifically for landscapes based on elevation, weather, and temperature distribution, and making it come alive with a complex simulation system.
In this version, you can generate worlds and see a small part (about 5%) of the simulation at work—like day-night cycle, caravans, and roaming enemies.
P.S. Thank you for stopping by. I am really looking forward to releasing this game in Early Access in 2026. Please feel free to say hello here in the comments or on Discord - any feedback is super welcome.
